Mini-bio: Damon was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the son of Kent Telfer Damon and Nancy Carlsson-Paige. He commenced studies at Harvard University as an English major in the fall of 1988, but, with only 12 credits left, he dropped out of university to pursue his acting career in Los Angeles. In addition to acting in many notable films, Damon co-wrote the script for Good Will Hunting with Ben Affleck, earning an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay, and founded Project Greenlight with Affleck and Chris Moore to find and fund worthwhile film projects from novice filmmakers.
