"Helen Flanagan"

Helen Joyce Gabriel Flanagan (born 7 August 1990) is an English actress and model best known for playing the character of Rosie Webster in the ITV soap opera Coronation Street.

Flanagan began playing Rosie Webster in Coronation Street in 2000, when she was ten years old. In 2006, she was nominated for the award of "Best Dramatic Performance from a Young Actor or Actress" in the British Soap Awards, losing to Ellis Hollins. In 2007, she was nominated for "Villain of the Year" at the same awards, this time losing to Coronation Street co-star Jack P. Shepherd, who plays David Platt. In October 2011, Flanagan announced that she would leave Coronation Street in February 2012 to pursue other interests.

In November 2012, Flanagan participated in the twelfth series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!, finishing in 7th place out of the 12 celebrities featured.

Flanagan is currently studying history, psychology and religion at Westholme School, Blackburn.

In March 2008, Flanagan dated Manchester City player Micah Richards. In August 2009, Flanagan dated builder Danny Scott. In September 2009, Flanagan dated Manchester City player Reece Wabara.

In 2009, Flanagan dated Manchester City, and former Wigan and Swansea player Scott Sinclair. Her relationship with Sinclair has lasted substantially longer than previous relationships, lasting four years until 2013, when they briefly broke up, before reconciling and dating again. It is alleged that Sinclair was "sexting" with Donatella Panayiotou, actress on ITV's Young, Posh & Loaded, whilst in a relationship with Flanagan. After breaking up Flanagan and Sinclair continued to share a household and later resumed their relationship.

In December 2012, Flanagan spoke of her battle with depression and anxiety, and revealed that she was on medication for ADHD and bipolar disorder.

Flanagan has been involved in numerous twitter controversies. Flanagan posted a picture of herself posing with a gun to her head just hours after the Sandy Hook school massacre in the United States. Flanagan then tweeted her support for animal charity PETA, minutes after posting images of herself carrying real leather handbags. Flanagan then showed that she seemingly did not know that leather is cow skin by saying: “I'm sorry but this is ridiculous leave me alone! Ive done something for charity- exotic animals are killed in a cruel way for there skins, Leather is not. Stop picking on me. Enough”.

Flanagan's most controversial internet activity however was when she liked a picture on Instagram that appeared to promote anorexia and 'thinspiration'. Helen then posted a picture of a glass of water and an oatmeal biscuit with the caption "#beathunger".

In June 2013, Flanagan's home in Manchester was broken into and stolen from by three men armed with a chainsaw and a screwdriver. The robbers knew she was home alone after reading her twitter page. Flanagan breifly moved in with Sunderland player Wes Brown, and his wife Leanne, as she did not feel safe in her house following the burglary. Upon moving back to her residence, Flanagan hired four bodyguards.
